Ruby would like you to know she has worked her last crossword puzzle and
watched her last Food Network show. On May 16, 2017, at the age of 77, she
took Jesus up on his offer to join Him in her heavenly home.
She was born in Lancaster, PA to the late Jessie and Mary McCummins James.
She was preceded in death by a twin sister who died at birth and her
brother, Thomas James. She is survived by an aunt, a nephew, a niece, 2
great-nieces, and a great-nephew along with many other relatives and
friends.
She graduated from Millersville University and was a retired teacher,
teaching in both Pennsylvania and Arizona, specializing in Special
Education. She was one of the founding board members of Turning Point
School of Learning in Tucson, Arizona, a school for children with learning
disabilities.
Memorial contributions can be made to Love Guatemala. Love Guatemala exists
to give hope to Guatemalans through the gospel of Jesus Christ and
vocational training. It is located 45 minutes outside Guatemala City in an
area of extreme poverty. There are over 100 students learning art, cooking,
