Funeral Service will be Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Church of the Living God, 4602 N. Emerson Ave., Indianapolis, 46226, starting at 12:00 noon with a viewing starting at 10:00 am until time of the service. Interment will be immediately after the service at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Anita Faye Sutton was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Jimmie Lee Harrington Sr and Luevenia Fenn Harrington on October 14, 1966. She was a twin and was born into a large family with thirteen brothers and sisters and also had an abundance of uncles, aunts, and cousins. Anita grew up in Haughville and was always a faithful church member. Anita was an excellent student and ran track and field . Anita graduated from Ben Davis High School in May 1985. She met Steve in 2004 at Chuckie Cheeses and they later married on October 20, 2006. She continued her education at Marion College, taking courses that someday would lead her to a Child Psychology Degree.
In addition, she loved to roller skate, line dance and Chicago stepping. She taught Sunday school and mentored students. Anita had a beautiful sprit and everyone gravitated toward her. She loved to counsel students and adults. Her praying and her prayer life was on another level. When she prayed everyone felt it from the top of their head to the bottom of their feet. Her last job was at Lawrence Township as a Payroll Coordinator, where she always strived for excellence.
Anita Faye Sutton, 58, departed this life on Saturday, October 26, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings; Napoleon, Robert, and Tawanna. Anita was an incredible woman, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, and her memory will be cherished by all who loved her, near and far. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Steven Sutton, son, Leslie Nathaniel Grady III , brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
