Celebration of Life Ceremonies

A traditional funeral service with black suits, quiet church music and people gathered around a casket or urn, is okay for some, but it is not favorable for many people. Sometimes mourning a life just doesn’t feel right. Life should be celebrated. It is a special day when people who loved a person gather together and celebrate their life, happily, and remember the person as they were…alive and vibrant.

Each person is different – has different passions and different loves – so why should every funeral be the same? Look to their life for ideas on how best to celebrate it.

Date: 3/14/2014 Zosimo Vargas We want to share our testimonial with each and everyone that can be experiencing a loss of a family member, a friend or just someone you know. After being a week in the hospital waiting for the recuperation of a great son, friend and brother, the time had come to accept the separation and departure of the one we love. As the leader of our congregation in Columbus, Ohio, I started my research in how to send our brother to his native country, Oaxaca, Mexico, to be with his wife Rosario Perez-Lopez and his 7 year old daughter, Nisi Shadai Vargas-Perez. I called the Columbus Ohio Hispanic Coalition for information. Mr. Josue Vicente was kind and informed us to call the Mexican Consulate in Indianapolis, Indiana. We needed financial support.
