A Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Pioneer Missionary Baptist Church, 2001 Yandes Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202, starting at 12:00 noon with a viewing from 10:00 am until time of the service.

Barbara was born to Glasgo Kentucky on March 23, 1957, to the late John Edgar Pace and Freda McMillin. She was the oldest of 10 children. Barbara relocated to Indianapolis in 1974 after her father died. She married Jeffrey Scott and had two children, Rakiesha Sue Scott and Jeffrey O’Neil Scott Jr. Barbara married a second time to Joaquin Tucker. Barbara worked at I.U. Hospital food service as an Ingredients Chef for 11 years. In 1992 she joined Pioneer Missionary Baptist Church. Barbara was very active in the church; she loved praising the Lord. Barbara never met a stranger; she loved everyone she met. She would never let anyone go hungry; she would make sure everyone was fed. Barbara’s last words to anyone were “I Love You”. Barbara loved to cook, dance, run, and play sports. Barbara leaves in memory her daughter, Rakiesha Sue Scott; brothers, Joseph and Frank Pace; grandchildren, Jeffrey III, Daija, and Julius Scott; daughter-in-law, Nikia Scott; nieces, Rachel Pace, Lakreasha Brown, Lotory, and LaWonda Rodgers; 4 great-nieces, 5 great-nephews, 1 great-great-niece; godmother, Margie Robinson; best friends, Bridget Brown and Vaneda Warren; 2 aunts, and a host of cousins, friends, and a church full of Christian brothers and sisters. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, son Jeffrey Jr. sisters, Linda Pace, Lisa Rodgers, Katherine Henton, brothers, Tim and John Pace, niece Lakiesha Pace, 4 uncles, and her grandparents.
