Charles Lewis Geary went home to be with the Lord on January 23rd, 2017. He
is rejoicing with his parents Charles Geary and Verda Chinn, wife Rebecca
Geary, and Sister Sheila Knowles in his new heavenly home. He truly had a
heart of gold and gave freely, even if he didn’t have enough left for
himself, to those in need.
He was a role model and hero to Verda Amanda (Tony) Evans, Miranda Kay (JJ)
Whitehead, Robert Adam (Stephanie) Geary, and Mandy (Matt) McGlone. The joy
of his life was having more time to spend with his grandchildren Brenton
McGlone, Madison McGlone, Steven McGlone, Becca Evans, and Gabriel Geary.
He was born August 9th, 1948 in Kentucky and was one of eight children. He
loved reminiscing with them and will be missed by Kathy (Shane) Jones, Mike
(Lana) Geary, James (Brenda) Geary, Karen (Kenny) Kiper, Daymond (Jenny)
Geary, Steven (Kim) Geary, Fred Knowles, his uncle-dad Charles Jr (Sarah)
Geary, and many nieces and nephews.
He was a very generous and caring person and would share anything he had
with anyone in need. He was always there to help fix any problems that
arose, even if he meant giving away his own stuff to make it happen. He
was always happy to share a drink and a heaping plate of good, southern
Biscuits and Gravy with the family and friends.
Following his cremation we will be joining together to celebrate his life
at a memorial service. It will be held at the
Knox County Fairgrounds
