James M. Waldron, passed away July 31, 2015 at home. He was the husband of Mary Ann Waldron, and they shared 45 years of marriage together.
Born on May 7, 1941 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of James Waldron, Sr. and Marie Waldron and the brother of Donna O’Donnell and Kathleen Turpin. The family moved to Indianapolis, IN and he attended Cathedral High School. He joined the United States Army, and served in Vietnam. He worked in the food business before joining 500 Liquors, where he worked until 1997, when he left to work for Quest for Excellence, a charitable foundation. On May 1, 2009, he was recognized for his long and faithful service, and the W.I.N.G.S. Domestic Violence Shelter was renamed the Waldron W.I.N.G.S. in his honor.
He was a passionate genealogist and an avid reader, who especially enjoyed U.S. and Irish history. But above all, he was dedicated to his family; he eagerly reopened contact with his cousins in Ireland, effectively rejoining the Irish and American families who have remained close ever since.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Waldron, his daughters Emily Waldron and Abigail (Christopher) Flavin, his granddaughters Isabella Hartmann and Gabriella Waldron, his grandsons Thomas Flavin and Daniel Flavin, his sisters Donna O’Donnell and Kathleen (Robert) Turpin, , his Brothers-in-law , Father Patrick Doyle and Dennis Doyle, and his nieces and nephews; Robert Dominguez, Erin Dominguez, Katelynn (Robert) Scheidler, Bailey Dominguez,
Antonio Dominguez, Erin Dominguez, Kevin (Vallorie) O’Donnell, Colleen O’Donnell, Shannon O’Donnell, Charles O’Donnell, Elizabeth Turpin, Audrey Weaver and Fred Weaver and Fred Weaver. He was preceeded in death by his brother-in-law, Charles O’Donnell and by his niece, Deborah Dominguez.
