A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at House of Victory Church, 1006 Laurel Ave., Indianapolis, 46203, starting at 11:30 am, with a viewing from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Pastor Eddie Carr is performing the ceremony.
Lloyd Edward Bond, 57, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully on October 6. 2025. Born on September 10, 1968, to Lavone and Ruth Bond.
Lloyd lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and love for the simple joys that made each day meaningful. He was a self-employed Electrician; he spent most of his life working as an electrician.
Lloyd was a man who never passed up the chance for a road trip, he loved to travel and explore new places, especially anywhere near the ocean, where he found peace and relaxation in the sound of the waves and the beauty of the horizon. When he wasn’t on the move, you could find him fishing on a quiet morning, heading out for a hunt, or cheering on his favorite teams, the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, and Indiana Hoosiers. He was always ready for game day.
Lloyd also enjoyed friendly competition with cards or video games, sharing laughter and good times with friends and family. Family meant everything to him, and his happiest moments were spent surrounded by those he loved most.
Lloyd is survived by his sons, Nicholas and Bradley Bond and daughter, Stephanie Barnett; mother, Ruth Bond, step-father, Sam Riddle; siblings, Leslie Bond (Rick Evans), Cassandra Bond-Shelton(Gary), Charlene Bond (Larry Stover), Ginger Bond-Cosner (Don), Curtis Bond (Hope) and James Bond; 7 grandchildren, and large number of extended family and friends.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his father Lavone Edward Bond, sister, Drema Bond, grandparents, and brother-in-law Dallas Sheese.
Lloyd will be deeply missed by his family and the many friends who shared his adventures and memories.
Immediately following the Service, we ask that those wanting to go to the Mausoleum go ahead and head there and await the arrival of Lloyd!
