Indianapolis – Roy D. Jordan, 76, died peacefully on June 13, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born January 21, 1949, in Lynch, Kentucky, the son of Roy Jordan and Ethel Blanton. Roy graduated from high school, Class of 1967. Roy married his wife Kathleen Dockery-Jordan on August 27, 1988. Roy retired from Capitol City Container in 2011, where he worked for 15 years as a machine operator. Roy was a member of the United Steelworkers Union. Roy enjoyed fishing, boating, taking care of the family pool, visits to the local casino, stock car racing, and drinking beer. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by Tommy Jordan (brother), Jerry Jordan(brother), Alberta Drury (sister), Sue Johnson (sister), and Tony Jordan (son).Surviving in addition to his wife, Kathleen Dockery-Jordan, is son Tim Jordan and wife Tuyet Jordan; son Scott Dockery and wife Alyssa Dockery; daughter Melissa Dockery; daughter Peggy Fosnight and husband Tom Fosnight; as well as 12 Grandchildren, and 1 Great Grand-Daughter.

A private family service will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you raise a toast in Roy’s honor-preferably with a cold beer and a good story.
