Betty Dale Willie White, 76, of Indianapolis was pronounced dead on September 30, 2021, at her residence from natural causes. Betty was born in Monongah, West Virginia on July 28, 1945. She was the last sole survivor of her parents, Sherman Willie, and Phoebe Virginia Willie-Varner. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by William Frances Furbee, and his wife Ethel Frances Bailey Furbee that raised her when her mother passed away. Considered as brothers and sister, Jim Furbee, Dennis Furbee, Terry Furbee, and Mary Ann Pyles. Betty’s biological sisters and brothers were Edward Varner, Amos Louis Willie, Bill Varner, James Thomas Willis, Virginia Simmons, Goldie Rush, Mary Manning, Edna Snyder and Judith Ann Willie. She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Marie Springer and her husband, Fredrick Springer, two grandchildren, Christopher Levell Jr., and Nathaniel Springer of Fort Worth, Texas, nieces, Rhonda Pyles of Indianapolis, Indiana and Tosie Virginia Simmons of Des Moines, Iowa. Betty obtained a Business Degree. She worked and retired from the Indiana State Government. She was a secretary for over 21 years. Betty enjoyed going places with her friends and being part of the community. She enjoyed flying to Texas to visit family, especially her grandchildren, watching old movies, reading and cooking. One of her favorite foods was pumpernickel bread with butter. She was a people person and loved to talk to all people. Betty’s wishes were to be cremated and taken back to Fort Worth, Texas to be with her daughter, Yvonne Springer.
