James Douglas Kimbrell 73, of Greenfield IN, passed away July 30th, 2023.
Doug was born to James Kimbrell and Dessie Hibberts on November 03,1949 in Spartanburg, SC. After graduating High School, Doug enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.
Shortly following he pursued a successful career in sales for the next 35 years.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #119 Greenfield, IN and also a member of
Snellville Masonic Lodge #99 Snellville, GA
Doug had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal,
and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge and so much wisdom. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling, reading, westerns, a good game of Risk and a rare steak.Doug is survived by his wife of 38 years Kathy Kimbrell,
four children, Amanda Beavers, William “Troy” Kimbrell, Shawn Morris and Chad Morris,
ten grandchildren, Logan, Jade, Devan, Meagan, William, Monica, Grace, Sean Jr., Sydney and Allyson, three brothers: William “Bill” Kimbrell, Benjamin Kimbrell and Kevin Kimbrell.
