Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 7 starting at 12:00 noon with a visitation from 10:00am until the time of service. The Funeral Service will take place at the Calvary Family Church, 6600 E. 42nd street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46226.
On Friday August 23, 2019, Mr. Albert Maurice McFarland Sr., loving husband, father of two children, grandfather of one, was called home to live with his Heavenly Father at the age of 77. Mr. Albert Maurice McFarland Sr. was born in LaFayette, GA on November 11, 1941 to Susie Josephine (McClelland) McFarland and Albert McFarland. Mr. Albert Maurice McFarland Sr. grew up in Nashville, TN, married Rosa Pearl McFarland, moved to Indianapolis, IN and raised a daughter, Katrina (McFarland) Beach and a son, Albert Maurice McFarland Jr. He enjoyed spending time with his only grandchild U.S. Army Specialist Dwaine Beach Jr. He worked for Imperial Packing Co. for many years until retirement. He took great pride in his down home, soul food culinary skills and was known for his photography and videography of special occasions. Mr. Albert Maurice McFarland Sr. accepted Christ at a young age and was an active member of Calvary Family Church, Indianapolis, IN. He was often found foot patrolling the parking lot, greeting visitors in the lobby entrance, manning the fundraising table or sitting on the usher’s pew next to his loving wife. On special men’s day occasions, it was not uncommon to hear his distinctive baritone voice in the male course ensemble. Mr. Albert Maurice McFarland Sr. was preceded in death by his parents Susie Josephine and Albert McFarland, sister, Shelia Jinks, brother, Willie J. (W. J.) Jinks; sisters Gwen Bryant, Carolyn L. Foster and Regina Riddle. He is survived by his loving wife Rosa Pearl McFarland, Indianapolis, IN and two children, Katrina (McFarland) Beach, Atlanta, GA and Albert Maurice McFarland Jr., Eaton, OH and grandson U.S. Army Specialist Dwaine Beach Jr. (Vanity), Baumholder, Germany. He is also survived by siblings Helen B. Talley, Gayle Benson (Edwin), Eric Readus, Angela Robinson and Zula Chandler, all from Nashville, TN, like-a-daughter, niece Dashanda Henson (Jason), Indianapolis, IN, a host of nieces, nephews and countless other in-laws, relatives and friends.
