Jamal Adam Morris, 33, passed away on November 12th, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on September 10th, 1992, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Jamal brought a distinct presence and energy into every space he entered. His 6’7″ stature caught attention, but it was his uniquely sharp wit, quiet strength, and unforgettable personality that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Jamal’s life was shaped by deep love, resilience, and a steady determination to carve his own path. Raised by his grandmother, the late Elizabeth Morris, he carried her lessons of independence and responsibility throughout his life. He is also preceded in death by his father, Raymond G. Morris.

He is survived by the person he loved most in this world—his daughter, Eliyana Z. Morris, with whom he shared a beautiful and unbreakable bond. Jamal’s loyalty and devotion to her shaped his purpose in life, and he gave his all to being the best father he could be. He is also survived by his mother, Linal T. Culbreth, and his uncles, Kent, Willie, and Greg Morris, who each played meaningful roles in his life.

Jamal began his career at Kroger, where his dedication led him into the butcher department. He later found his calling in human services at Damar Services, starting as a direct support professional before expanding into resource work, management, and grant writing. His growth reflected his drive to learn, lead, and make a real difference.

Outside of work, Jamal enjoyed gaming, taking spontaneous trips to play basketball, and teaching himself anything that sparked his curiosity. Despite his straight-faced seriousness, he was known for his perfectly timed humor and unforgettable one-liners—like his signature, “If that’s how you want to end your day,” or his playful reminder, “Because I’m funny, like Nick Cannon.” Jamal was a stubborn, protective, self-reliant soul who cared deeply, even if he didn’t always show it openly.

Jamal will be cremated. A small family service will be held on Friday, December 12th, 2025, from 3:30–5:00 p.m. The location will be shared privately with family and close friends. Jamal’s life was one of quiet strength, humor, love, and unspoken depth. His memory will continue to live on through his daughter, his family, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

May he rest peacefully.
