Delaney S. picThe bells of Heaven rang loudly in the early hours of Sunday, January 3rd, 2021 when God called Susan Kathryn Delaney home to get her wings.
Born March 5, 1945 to Margaret Ann (Swenby) and Glenn Phillip Sager in New Richmond, Wisconsin, Susan Kathryn was a woman of strong Catholic faith, with a generous heart and beautiful, happy soul. She never met a “stranger”, and left a lasting impression on those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She met and married John Delaney at the age of nineteen. In their fifty-five years together they spent twenty-one in the United States Marine Corps and raised three children all over the country.  Her life was full of travel, adventure and memories shared with all who loved her. She left her mark on each and every place they lived and she took another group of friends with her each and every time she left.
Faith, family and friendship were her trinity.  She was a loving wife, mother and loyal friend, but her most treasured role was proud grandmother to Jake, Luke, Lila and Chloe.
She was welcomed at the Heavenly gates by her son, Terry John Delaney, her brother Terry Phillip Sager, and parents Glenn and Peg Sager.
She leaves behind a family that will miss her dearly — husband John Delaney; daughter Shannon Delaney; daughter and son-in-law Heather (Delaney) & Mark Paris; grandsons Jake and Luke; and granddaughters Lila and Chloe.
Brothers Michael Sager (Linda); Patrick Sager (Barb); Timothy Sager (Rena); Brian Sager (Shirley) and Steve Sager (Linda); sisters Ann Hecht and Mary Joy Harstad and many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

followed by a funeral Mass at 2pm. Face masks and social distancing mandates will be in place. The Mass will be live-streamed for those unable to attend.  https://youtube.com/channel/UC2yHbWP4y1-gs2cWexrsbiA
