Merladene Cawood,86, of Muncie, entered into the presence of Jesus on April 25, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Viola Tweedy. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jim Cawood; son, Gary Benassi (Teresa); daughter Lori Shaver (Paul); grandchildren: Chelsy Ray (Chad), Cambry Chambless (Jonathan), Carly Wittkamper (Devin), Cabron Shaver, Haley Inman, Tanner Inman, Tarina Webb, Regina Beard (Brad), Christy Vaught (Zacc); numerous great grandchildren; sister, Marni Burden (Gary). She was preceded in death by a son, Clint Inman, a grandson, Cint Inman, jr., two brothers and four sisters.
She worked at Marsh Supermarkets for many years and was a faithful member of True Light Baptist Church where she devoted many years to working in the nursery. She loved having the grandkids stay with her and always made them hot chocolate. Spending time with family was her greatest joy and she never missed any of their programs or ballgames. Her greatest legacy was the Christian heritage she provided for her family.
The Funeral Service will be Thursday April 29, starting at 5:30pm with a visitation from 3:30 until the time of the service at the True Light Baptist Church, 850 N Country Club road, Muncie, Indiana 47303.
