Brown B. pic 1Beverly Joan Woodin Brown of Cleves, Ohio passed into Glory on March 20, 2020 at age 80. Beverly (Bev) was born on April 1, 1939 in Polo, Illinois to Rex and Ola (Bellows) Woodin. She married Jerome (Jerry) Stevenson Brown on July 10, 1960 in Waynesboro, Virginia. Jerry preceded her in death on April 29, 2016. Bev was baptized a child of God in the Evangelical Church in Polo, Illinois on November 20, 1940 and confirmed at Grace Episcopal Church April 28, 1968. On April 22, 2006, after much religious preparation, both Jerry and Bev were received into Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Carmel, Indiana through chrismation.  Above all, Bev loved her family and friends and was a faithful servant of the Lord. She always cared for others above herself, often shoveling snow for shut-ins, providing transportation to the elderly, and delivering homemade goodies to those new to the neighborhood. She was a selfless, loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother and grandmother. Bev enjoyed baking, keeping an immaculate home, attending church services,  and long visits with family and friends. She was an elegant and graceful lady who made friends easily, and always kept in touch with people she knew throughout her life.  Bev is survived by her two daughters, Nancy S. Weston of Madison, Ohio, and Joyce C. (Jeffrey) Bentle of Bright, Indiana; one sister, Bernice Riddle of Polo, Illinois; three brothers, Harold (Lucille) of Polo, Illinois, Archie (Bernadine) Woodin of Milledgeville, Illinois and Paul (Shirley) Woodin of Milan, Illinois; four grandchildren, Katey (Sean), Alec, Michael and Thomas Weston; plus two step-grandchildren Phillip (Amanda) and Kati Bentle; and one great-grandchild, Gavin Horrocks.  A memorial fund benefitting the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation has been established in Bev’s memory.
