David Laurence Harvey, 55, of Indianapolis, passed away November 4, 2016.  He was born to the late Ray and Ruth Ann Harvey on September 14, 1961.  He was a High school graduate and later in life became a chef.  He worked in several restaurants, the most recent place of employment was the One America Tower.

David was born a happy, loving and giving child and those characteristics continued through adulthood.  He was a compassionate and caring man.  David loved to cook.  Whenever possible he would organize cookouts for family and friends.  He was planning to pursue his dream of traveling.  David always had a smile and will be greatly and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Dana Chattam of Indianapolis and her husband, Josh,  grandson, Darion and granddaughter, Brooklyn, sisters, Joycelyn Davis of Indianapolis, her husband Ken, nephew, Justin Davis, Doris Whitley and Carolyn Southberry, brother, Anthony Allen of Liberty, Kentucky and his wife, Doris, Aunt, Sandra Holloway of Arlington Heights, Illinois and many cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Tursha Harvey.
