Today we are memorializing Franklin Liggins Jr., who passed away on February 23,2023.  Wayne, as he was known to most, was born September 25, 1959 Franklin and Patricia Liggins in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He graduated from Arlington High School in 1978.  Later, he attended Ivy Tech in pursuit of a business degree.  Wayne married his wife, Cheryl on June 26, 1981 and from their  union they had two daughters and one son.

Wayne worked as a cement finisher for 30 years by trade, working mainly for Wilhelm Construction Company.  While working Wayne helped to create many architectural establishments in the downtown area amongst many other cities in Indiana and some surrounding states.  Wayne was a very skilled mechanic.  He loved cars and often helped friends and family fix theirs.

Wayne loved music of all kinds and was very eclectic in his entertainment choices.  Wayne was  athletic in his early years.  He loved dancing with his Dance Team “The Steppers”, which performed at several functions around town.  However, his favorite dance partner was his wife, Cheryl.  He enjoyed talking and working with others.

Wayne loved his family and Jehovah dearly.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  Wayne enjoyed going out in service daily for many years.  He encouraged all of us to stay close to Jehovah.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.  He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughters, Queandria (Jeffrey) Ford, Syearra Liggins; son, Fores Liggens; mother, Patricia Liggins; brothers, Jeffrey ( Crystal) Liggins, Daryl Liggins; sister, Wendy (Che) Moore; cousins who were raised as his siblings, Julie (Sam) Roscoe< Kathy and Karen Roache; in-laws, Ronald and Gloria Smith; grandchildren, Phoenix, Neeah, Layla, Journey, Elijah, Camille; and many others who he also loved as his grandchildren.  As well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Wayne will be dearly missed.
