A f\Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 1060 W. 30th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, starting at 12:00 noon with a visitation starting at 10:00am until time of the service. The committal will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery.
Henry S. Butler Born passes away July 17, 2022. He was born August 7, 1945, to the late John Henry and Ruth Ethel Butler. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Hugo, Oklahoma, class of 1963. Henry attended Langston University, where is played the trumpet in the marching band and study Math and Chemistry. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force. He was a former ATC Takhli Thailand. He was an Air Traffic controller USAF at Hamilton AFB in San Rafael, California and a former Air Traffic controller in Indianapolis, Indiana. He later became a Aircraft Accident investigator in Washington DC. Henry retired from the FAA and spent his time in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He married the love is his life Dolores J. Evans to which two sons were born, Gerald M. and Derald L. Butler. Preceded in death by Parents John Henry and Ruth Butler; Brothers Roy Lee and Floyd Lee Comfort (Widow Mae Del); George J. Butler (Widow Oleta); Daughter Katrina Sumler He leaves to cherish his memory: Son Gerald M. Butler and wife (Anndria); Son Derald L. Butler; granddaughters Aleena, Alyssa and Aniyah Butler; siblings Anne Sue Butler; Lois Butler Washington (Pastor Anthony D. Washington), Crentha “Precious” Turner (Howard Turner); step-daughter Nikki Muhammad and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
My deepest Sympathy to Henry Butler’s Family. May God Comfort each of you. He was a wonderful and loving Person. We both were in the Marching Band; I was a Majorette. He was a MASTER Trumpet Player! Henry was my Classmate, and we both graduated in 1963, in Hugo, Oklahoma.
