Marcia, the Loving Wife of 42 years to Lester Harold Woolslayer and Mother of three to; Justin Matthew Woolslayer (Angela Bates-Woolslayer), Tara Fame Woolslayer, and Daniel Stanton Woolslayer (Autumn Lynn Zellars-Woolslayer). 9 Grandchildren; Destiny Ann Woolslayer, Faith Anne McGlaughlin, Christian Shane Rowe, Nathanial Ray Woolslayer, Jacob Stanton Woolslayer, Caleb Morgan Rowe, Sophia May Branham, Regan Jane Woolslayer, and Alice Monroe Woolslayer.


Daughter of James Rual Hoots and Sibbie Velda Finley-Hoots, siblings; Dwight Finley Hoots, Randall Wayne Hoots, Joel Watson Hoots, Jennifer Delynn Hoots-Windish, and Brian Kelly Hoots.


Marcia has a strong faith in God attending River Avenue Baptist church in her early years and currently a member of Mount Pleasant Christian Church where she enjoyed Sermons, Music, and Fellowship.

Marcia attended Perry Township Schools graduating from Emmerich Manual H.S. in 1976. She also attended IVTC for her LPN graduating in 1985. She continued to further her career in healthcare by obtaining her RN and graduating from Marion College in 1991.

Marcia worked in various areas of health care to include the VA Hospital and then Home Health in Case Management, Diabetes Education, and Wound Care.

Marcia loved life and family/friends get-togethers. She enjoyed traveling, camping/hiking, sitting around campfires, and cooking or her family and friends.

Marcia’s hobbies included listening to music, collecting Norman Rockwell, and Pepsi memorabilia.

Memorial service to be held at Mount Pleasant Christian Church 381 N. Bluff Rd. Greenwood, IN. 46142 on Saturday, June 03, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. for visitation and service to start at 12:00. Parking in the main lot by the canopy entering through door # 1 to the chapel upstairs. Cookout and Celebration of life to follow at 217 Woodhill Dr. Indianapolis, In. 46227 2-6 P.M.
