“It’s the circle of life and it moves us all, through despair and hope, through faith and love, till we find our place, on the path unwinding, in the circle, the circle of life.”

Megan was born on November 26, 1982, the daughter of Steve Steinway and Deb Kimball in Danville, Indiana. She graduated with academic honors from Danville High School and then summa cum laude from Indiana University. Megan achieved her childhood dream to become a banker and served for many years in Hendricks County at several banks. She was known for her love of numbers and helping her customers achieve their dreams with creative financial solutions.

Megan is survived by her daughter Audri K. Steinway, of Danville, Indiana; parents, Steve (Michelle) Steinway of Danville, Indiana; Deb (Uriah) Carr, California; grandparents, Alvin (Juanita) Kimball, Illinois; siblings Jeremy (Kelly) Steinway, of Danville, Indiana; Mandy Steinway, of Rosedale, Indiana; and Matthew Blackmore, of Danville, Indiana. Her nephews Justin Steinway, Jacob Steinway, and Ryland Steinway, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her many family members and friends.

Megan’s greatest achievement was being a mother. She delighted in raising her daughter and kept her home open to anyone that needed shelter, temporary or otherwise. She was a lover of animals and always helped any animals that were fortunate enough to cross her path.  She enjoyed participating in and watching sports, especially football. She had a wonderful sense of humor with a contagious and memorable laugh. Even while fighting numerous physical and mental health battles Megan had an open heart helping as many people as she could throughout her life. She was a woman of deep faith and a longtime member of Danville United Methodist Church.

A celebration of life will be held in honor of Megan.  We encourage all who knew and loved her to come and share memories with her daughter and family.  July 29, 2021 from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. We will have visitation from 5p-7p and a short service following from 7p-8p. It will be held at Danville United Methodist Church, 820 West Mill Street, Danville, IN 46122.
