A funeral visitation will be Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Albertsons Mortuary, 1775 N Sherman Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46218, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.
Rose Marie Smith, 59, passed away December 24, 2022. She was born October 25, 1963, in Kansas City, Kansas to William Thomas Smith and Vivian Marie Barton Smith. As a young girl Rose and her father spent time together fishing and hunting. Rose was a true animal lover. She raised and nurtured an orphaned squirrel. Rose had an adventurous side, as an adult she worked in concession stands for various carnival companies. While working in concessions, Rose had worked in every state in the United States, except for Alaska and Hawaii. Rose was preceded in death by her father, William Thomas Smith and grandson, Dillon Fortner. She is survived by her sons, David D. Smith, Troy Lee, and Greggory Dean Church; mother, Vivian M. Curtis; stepfather, Dean Curtis; grandsons, Hunter Wooten, Ethan, and Jayden Church; brother, Willie D. Smith; sister, Misty Moore; companion and best friend, Freddy Webber, and many other friends. She adored her dogs Elsa and Mini-Me. Rose had a close bond with her mother, Vivian. She cherished the time she spent visiting “The Dream House” an organization for women. Rose will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
