Solomon L. Dawson (Solo) passed away Friday, May 1st, 2020 at his home as he wished with his wife, family and loved ones in Indianapolis, IN at the age 60. Solomon was born on August 19th, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a loving, joyful, funny , and happy person who’s smile and laughter brought so much joy and happiness to so many peoples lives.
Solomon is survived by his wife, Shannon Dawson; Parents; Lula & Percy Hope; Siblings, Gabrielle (Clyde) Myles, Timothy (Ronina) Hope, Percy Jr. (Lorretta) Hope, Thomas (Lydia) Hope, and Angila Dawson; Children, Katerina Pickerell, Sam Holland, Brittany Holland, Mary Holland, Dakota Holland and Cassandra Worley; Grandchildren, Derek Pickerell Jr., Anishia Pickerell, Faith Holland, Emma Holland, Savion Worley, Akasha Worley, Adrienna Worley, Trinity Worley, and Jazmine Worley; 1 great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his biological father Solomon Dawson Jr., brother David Dawson and brother in law Clyde Myles. Solomon is loved by so many and will be remembered by everyone who has ever crossed his path.
Due to the restrictions in place currently in the city of Indianapolis and no more than 10 people at a gathering viewing services will not be taking place. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Just wanted to thank you for blessing me with a beautiful smart and intelligent daughter she definitely got a lot of your genetics you’ll already live on in your grandchildren so FLY HIGH UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.
Solomon will be missed by me and my children. He always had a beautiful smile and it was contagious. He helped me through a very rough time in my life after a devastating break up as he shared his wisdom with me. I still follow his advice today. Thank you Solo. You will be missed.
