Virgil Rozelle Rock Hale, 85, passed away December 25, 2021. A Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 8, 2022, starting at 2:00 pm with a visitation from 12:00 noon until time of the service at Albertsons Mortuary, 1775 N Sherman Drive, Indianapolis, IN, 46218.

Virgil (Rock) Rozelle Hale passed away December 25, 2021. He was born August 23, 1936, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to the late Irene Murphy Hale and Oz Johnson. He received his education in the Christian County School system. He had a passion to build. At a young age he worked as a bricklayer, then he became a cement mason, a concrete finisher and retired as a masonry contractor. He worked for over 70 years in the construction business, leaving his many creations in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana. He professed Christ at an early age and became a member of Gainesville Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Virgil loved to sing and play the piano. He sang with a group by the name of Radio 4. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Elvester (Bess) Boyd Hale, sisters, Marilyn Blackman and Ilean Brown, granddaddy, Samuel Hale, and grandmother, Birdie Blane Hale. He leaves to cherish his memories, daughters, Franchester Jordan (Patrick), Hopkinsville, KY, Sheila Y. Hale Rainey (Mckensey), Stephanie D. Hale; sons, Donny, Timothy A., and Samuel D. Hale; step-son, Daniel Pollard (Destiny) of Maui, Hawaii; brother, George A. Murphy (Charrottle); sisters, Dorothy Murphy, Nashville, TN, Kathlyn Murphy Redd, Hopkinsville, KY, Birdie Anderson (Herbert) Nashville, TN, Regina Doyle (Leon) Oxford, NC; Aunt Margene Scale, Louisville, KY; 11 granddaughters, 10 grandsons, 10 great granddaughters, 13 great grandsons; several nieces and nephews; a host of other close relatives, and friends who all join together to express the loss of their loved one, Virgil (Rock) Rozelle Hale.
Love you dearly!!! God have mercy on our family, so many many missing pieces of our ancestry. The remaining will hold you all in our hearts and be glad in the rejoicing of all of you together again. Missing you dearly. !!!
Gonna miss you Rozelle!!! You could always find a way to make me laugh!! I appreciate all that you done for me, Gina, and Mica!! Now it’s time for you to rest, you’ve earned it!!! Rest in Peace!
