Frank “Bud” J. Kistner, Jr., Indianapolis, passed away October 20, 2012. He was born October 27, 1927, to the late Frank, Sr. and Hazel Kistner. Bud was a WWII US Navy Veteran. He retired with the rank of Lieutenant from the Indianapolis Fire Department and was a self-employed plumber.
Bud is preceded in death by 4 sisters and a granddaughter. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Virginia “Ginny”, daughter, Kathy Dorsey; sons, Frank III (Charlene), Bill (Jessica), Tom (Edie); 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 23, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of donor’s choice.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the staff at St. Francis Oncology Department and the Palliative Care Unit.
