Joseph Lamar Kemp was born on June 7,1948 the very same day my parents were married! He lived 71 years before he fell asleep in death on Aug 2, 2019 on our anniversary of 39 years of marriage. Joe was loved and survived by me, his wife Debra Seay Kemp, our children, Sandra, Simon, Logan ,Levi and our 7 grandchildren, Avery ,Addison, Aiden, Liam, Mila, Joel and Dashel. Joe is also survived by his much loved nephew, Jim Kemp and niece Stacy Kemp Jacobs children of his older brother Wilber Dean and June Prather Kemp who have both preceded him in death. His younger brother Robert Wayne and their parents Simon Kemp and Wilma Miller Kemp Harrison also proceeded Joe in death.Joe made his career of 31 yrs as a RAIL ROAD employee for CSX out of Avon Yards. His first 15 years he worked in maintenance of way and the remainder as train engineer before he retired in 2009. Joe had a love for music (and dancing in our younger years!) He also enjoyed woodworking and Rail road model making. He has passed these talents on to his children who are passing them on to their children, we wish he was still with us and able to teach them firsthand. Fortunately our faith in God’s word assures us that we will see him alive again on the earth happy and healthy! This is a hope we, his family, cherish and are eager to experience.

So sorry for your loss. No matter how we expect it we can never get our minds around such things. It shows us death was never a part of gods purpose. My heart goes out to you all. Know that I am sending you all a big hug and you are in my prayers. May Jehovah comfort you in this time grief. Love you. Lisa
Debbie and family,
We are so sorry for your loss of husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Rest assured that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Thankfully we know that we have the hope of seeing our loved ones again. We also have the hope that when everyone is brought back to life by Jehovah, they will all see what a wondrous thing that is and will choose to serve him on into the everlasting life and future that he has in store for all of mankind who serve and worship him. What a wonderful and loving God we have to want that for all of us!
With love,
Scott and Judith Watson

Debbie and family. Your brief remembrance of Joe’s life was loving and touching. We know that not only was he a big and important part of your family’s life but you all were equally as important to him. The rest of us will be eagerly awaiting his resurrection in order to know the man you all loved so much. May Jehovah and your friends be of encouragement during your grief.
With love, Glenn and Pam
